New Year's Eve - Leitherer tradition 2.0

Our family New Year's Eve tradition

For the 2nd year in a row, we have continued our New Year's Eve family tradition. We decided last year we wanted to celebrate and ring the New Year with something different and fun for us. We had some diet changes in our family this year so I wasn't exactly looking foward to creating a menu that was user friendly for all of us. However, we put our heads together and came up with a menu that worked: hors d'oeuvres and finger foods (cheesecake and keylime pie not pictured). It's a fun time now that we look forward to and I know it will build for years to come.

Tonight all of us will stay up to watch ball drop to ring in the New Year, til then maybe we'll watch a movie while we wait for 2019. Tomorrow it's going to be the traditional New Year's Day dinner with greens, pork, black-eyed peas and cornbread (this has been a long-standing tradition since Jim and I got married) and we make a point every year not to miss it.

What are your family traditions for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day?

*For those of you wondering our dietary changes, we have one who is Gluten-Free and Dairy-Free. I was able to incorporate the food sensitivity changes into our menu, even the cheesecake :).
